The world has changed, viewers have changed. Streaming services are developing, not only as far as subscriptions but also in original content; Millennials are no longer impressed by the industry’s efforts to compete with larger screens, special rooms and very high investments in marketing. Filmgrid seeks to use technological, operational, and ideological innovations to provide fair commercial alternatives, to produce equality between users and to promote art. For filmmakers who have made digital films (and / or hold copyright for that) and want to use their projects, we have Billboards, storefronts for films of all types, lengths, types and styles.
It’s actually very simple.
Filmmakers register at Filmgrid as Creative Users, if the film is a collaborative work, the Creative Users involved must form what is called the Creative Team, then upload it to Billboard the Movie; once in the display, the viewer buys a digital copy of the film, and, through the application, the film can be downloaded or streamed and viewed as much as specified by the audience user.
Platform Participants
To participate in this platform, at first need to register as a user, which depends on the level of participation, various obligations and privileges are given; divided as follows:
Viewer User (Level One). Internet users are looking for video entertainment at little or no cost. They can buy movies on “Billboard” and participate as voters on “Pitchboard”.
Creative Users (Level Two). Independent filmmakers, each individual involved in film development: director, writer, actor, makeup artist, sound technician, etc.
Investment User (Level Three). Investors who seek to place their cryptocurrency in the direction of independent film production.
Creative team. A group of Creative Users are specifically put together for the realization or sale of a film project.
Production group. Group consisting of Investment Users, including production costs divided.
Protector. Users who participate in movie purchases are presale.
Fans. Users who “follow” Creative Users or Creative Teams.
When upgrading, each level of user inherits features from the previous level in addition to the new ones; that is, Creative Users, in addition to participating in filmmaking, can also buy other people or participate in the “Pitch Board” voting, just like the Demonstration Users.

SCREENING

HOME CINEMA
If there is interest in the movie, but not into buying it, buying a ticket with filmpass gives the user 48h hours of access.
INITIAL COIN OFFER
The purpose of making an Initial Coin Offer, is to finance the development of the Filmgrid platform and to gather the initial Production Fund amount that will be used by the first Creative Teams voted winners by eligible users, during the first year of operations. This fund will be protected by the smart contracts that have been described previously.
UTILITY TOKEN
To add value to the Filmgrid experience, the user is offered to buy the scoop of the film during the premiere sale, including the additional exclusive material; then we tranfer this value to the utility token Filmpass (FILM), since premiere film can only be bought with it.
The price for a movie during the Premiere Sale will be derminated by the Creative Team, since the value of the token may fluctuate and the length of the movie will variate, an honest assesment should be performed before pricing the movie.
TOKEN DISTRIBUTION
The token distribution will be divided in two phases, distributing 400,000,000 FILM tokens in each phase. 200,000,000 will be kept to be distributed among Filmgrid and the founding team. There will be a total supply of 1,000,000,000 FILM tokens.
We are looking to gather the needed funding for the different stages of the project development:
